Mohun Bagan on Wednesday determined to change plans for its I-League Trophy receiving ceremony in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ceremony will now be held behind closed doorways at a five-star lodge adopted by a grand procession to the membership tent on October 18, Mohun Bagan said in a launch.
“The procession will start from the hotel and it will touch important points such as Mohun Bagan Lane and other adjoining places on its way to the Club,” the assertion mentioned.
“The club will also display the trophy in a glass cascade from November 2-5 from 12 noon to 5pm for photo opportunity by the members and supporters,” it added.
The programme was earlier deliberate on the membership on October 17.
Mohun Bagan’s Senegalese striker Baba Diawara had scored the I-League title-winning aim to beat former champion Aizawl FC 1-Zero and clinch the title with 4 rounds to spare on March 10.
Mohun Bagan’s celebrations needed to wait due to the pandemic and the Kibu Vicuna-coached I-League winner is anticipated to have a digital presence within the upcoming ceremony on the membership tent.
