On January 8, Sanjeev Gupta, former life-member of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association had filed the grievance towards Shukla, alleging battle of curiosity.

Gupta wrote that Shukla, being a director on the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and likewise an workplace bearer at its guardian physique BCCI, amounted to battle of curiosity. “Before proceeding further on the Complaint, I deem it necessary to ascertain the stand of the BCCI and the person complained against – Mr Rajeev Shukla on the said complaint,” the Ethics Officer wrote.
